WHAT IS IT: Plaine Products is this handy site I found through Litterless. It has shampoo/conditioner, lotion, body wash and face wash that comes in steel returnable containers. They ship your product to you and when you’re finished, you send the container back to them to reuse!

WHY IT’S GOOD FOR YOU: These products are completely toxin-free. They use essential oils instead of perfumes, and don’t contain any of the other garbage you find in typical body/face products. They’re completely transparent with their ingredients – you can find a list here.

WHY IT’S GOOD FOR THE EARTH: They’ve thought of everything. Not only are their containers reusable, the package it comes in has been used a few times, and their tape has zero plastic in it! You send back your bottles in the same box it came in, and its life cycle continues.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:

• They have travel sizes for every product, so you can test it out before committing to a larger bottle or subscription.
• I’ve only tried the lotion at this point (which I love), it’s non-greasy, moisturizing and perfect for your entire body. Both the Citrus-Lavender and Rosemary-Mint-Vanilla scents are amazing, not overpowering at all. I got a trial size of both and you can’t go wrong either way.
• My friend has given the shampoo/conditioner a try and is in love. She has a super dry scalp and colored hair, and this shampoo/conditioner works perfectly for her.
