WHAT IT IS: The MakeUp Eraser is a cloth that effectively gets rid of ALL OF YOUR MAKE UP with JUST water. No joke, I couldn’t believe it either. This microfiber cloth is reusable and machine washable.

WHY IT’S GOOD FOR YOU: I was a disposable makeup wipe user for probably over a decade. Often times, my skin became irritated and sensitive. The majority of make up wipes are packed with chemicals, the main issue being the fragrance they add to the wipes. The MakeUp Eraser eliminates any chemical use on your face, and gets rid of all of your make up gently. All you need is warm water.

WHY IT’S GOOD FOR THE EARTH: At first, I was only concerned about the chemicals in makeup remover wipes, so I went with an organic cleanser. When this arrived, it came in a plastic bottle and I had to continue using cotton balls – it also didn’t get rid of 100% of my make up at the end of the day. This prompted me to make another switch. Since The MakeUp Eraser is reusable and washable, you can continue to use this cloth until it rips to shreds (about 3-5 years). That means no more cotton balls or wipes heading into landfills.

OTHER HIGHLIGHTS:

• One thing to note, it does come in a plastic sleeve which is a thumbs down, but I believe the reusable aspect of the cloth trumps the disposable wipes in regards to waste.
• You may want to consider getting a Guppy Friend to eliminate micropolution when you wash it. I’ll have another blog post on the Guppy Friend later. 🙂
• Make sure you purchase the original one, not any other iterations of The MakeUp Eraser. I’ve heard from friends that the other options do not work as well as the original.
